How this directory is built and verified

Data sources

• Georgia: Georgia Department of Community Health, Healthcare Facility Regulation Division (HFRD) — GaMap2Care — 4,171 Private Home Care Provider records.
• Florida: Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) — FloridaHealthFinder — 7,179 records with a license status of Licensed or Registered (home health agencies, nurse registries, and homemaker/companion services). Records in other statuses (for example, applications in review) are not listed.

Re-verification

License status is a fact recorded by the state, not an opinion held by CareChosen. We re-pull the state records every quarter and update each listing's status and retrieval date to match. Until a listing is re-checked, its page shows the date its record was retrieved, so you can judge for yourself how current it is.

Completeness

Every licensed agency in the state records is listed, whether or not the agency pays us anything. Paying subscribers are marked as featured where they appear; a subscription never adds or removes a listing, and it never changes the license status shown.

Family-controlled contact

A family's contact details are shared only with the specific agencies the family approves. They are never sold, never rented, and never distributed to a list of agencies.
